The COVID-19 pandemic has exposed deep systemic flaws in our system of care for people who use drugs and individuals affected by homelessness. Public health advice such as self-isolation and social distancing are simply not feasible for these communities. The Canadian Drug Policy Coalition and partners have assembled guidance documents and information for frontline health, harm reduction, and service providers to bridge this gap in knowledge and provide the best level of care during two concurrent public health crisis: the epidemic of overdoses and novel coronavirus pandemic.
